Starting 1-January 2023, all 54 Puspakom centres in the country will stop accepting cash transactions as they transition to a fully cashless system.
This means that Puspakom services such as vehicle inspection as well as the renewal of insurance and road tax will have to be paid either by E-Wallet, QR Pay, credit or debit cards.
Take note that this only applies to the centres, the Puspakom mobile kiosks will continue accepting cash payments.
Puspakom believes that going cashless will help reduce transaction time at counters. The inspection company also believes that cashless payments are also safer for both its officers and customers.
Previously, the inspection company only accepts credit and debit card transactions for vehicle inspection services. Come 1-December, those wishing to renew their vehicle insurance and road tax can also use their Credit and Debit cards to carry out their business.
