From 22-November 2022, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will be setting up 24-hour roadblocks in strategic locations in all districts across the country. They did not state when the operation will end.
According to a statement, PDRM has decided to set up roadblocks as a means to prevent crime and ensure public safety. However, they also stated that there will not be any roadblocks during traffic rush hours to prevent further congestion.
In the statement’s closing, they once again advise the public not to worry as the roadblock operation was started to ensure the safety of the people.
