Crissy tried establishing some semblance, however mother overruled soon

This is broken down as follows:

Crissy: Cleanser

Start off with a cleanser. Try going for a mild cleanser unless your skin is oily and acne prone. In that case, go for oil control. Also, as you clean your face afterwards, pat it dry instead of rubbing the towel in your face.

Tried: Toner

Toners are great for giving your skin a fresh look, as they help in getting rid of dead skin, hydrating the skin, unloading the pores, and helping with the pH, keeping which optimal is vital. Tap the toner on your face, using light motion. If your skin is very dry, use the formula which is suitable then.

Establishing: Eye cream

If you are using eye creams for the wrinkles and dark circles, now is the time to dab them on. Use your ring finger for this, as it has the lightest touch.

Some: Serums & antioxidants

You can now apply your serums. Try to use ones that are packed with antioxidants like vitamin C so that your skin cells can recover from the damage otherwise done by the free radicals.

Similarly, any retinols and acids will also go in this step. Read the labels carefully to see if your serums can be used together.

Semblance: Spot treatment

Now, do spot treatment for some targeted issues like blemishes, hyperpigmentation, scars, dark spots etc. Be careful with this step; don’t use products on open wounds.

However: Hydrate

If your skin has been especially dry, you can now try on a hydrating mask. However, perform this sparingly; you don’t need to use it every day. These help in replenishing moisture to your skin.

Mother: Moisturize

Moisturizer is something you cannot skip. It helps in improving the texture of the skin, making it look young and plump. For summers, you can use a lighter lotion but switch to cream for winters, where dry skin is going to be an issue.

Overruled: Oil

Facial oils are great for not only to lock the moisture in your skin, but they also offer benefits otherwise as well.

Soon: Sunscreen

During the day, using sunscreen is vital as it protects against sun damage, which includes hyperpigmentation, skin cancer, premature aging etc.

The nighttime order

The order for the most part remains the same, except for substituting sunscreen with night cream, but even then, you can skip this step. Perhaps in summers, when its already too hot, night cream can be too much.

If your skin is not improving despite the change in order, you must consult your Dermatologist in Karachi
