How physiotherapy brought my dad’s life to normal

I want to say thank you to Novomed experts who are really amazing, and well-experienced. They are very professional while doing their job, so they can provide the patient with all the care he needs.

I remember last year when my dad broke his hip, and we were worried about his ability to walk again, especially since once the hip is broken, the patient will have to go through a long process to regain his ability to move again.

So last year, my dad fell on the stairs at his work, and his hip was broken, so we had to take him to the hospital to undergo the surgery. The doctor told us that our father is suffering from osteoporosis, which affected his hip bone, and that is why it was broken. He explained to us that he will be doing the hip replacement surgery, during which he will remove the damaged hip joint, and replace it with an artificial one, so my dad can get back his ability to move his hip.

The surgery took around 2 hours and a half, and the doctor told us after the surgery that everything is ok now, but my dad needs to stay at the hospital for a few days to have the rest he needed. So they took my dad to his room, after the surgery room, and he stayed there for the rest of the day.

The next day, the doctor visited him and checked on him, then the physiotherapist came to my dad’s room and checked on him, asking which hip was injured, and informed us that dad will need to do some physiotherapy sessions in order to regain his ability to walk normally.

So he started to move his leg, and do some soft exercises in order to check his leg’s capacity, then he helped him to stand up and move his leg. My dad felt some pain when the physiotherapist was moving his leg, and when he stood up, the physiotherapist told us that it is normal to feel some pain.

He was then advised to have several sessions of physiotherapy, so he can regain his ability to walk and gets used to his new hip joint. For 3 months, during his recovery, my father did his physiotherapy sessions, and now he can walk normally again.
