PLUS Highways is expecting at least 2 million vehicles to hit highways between 17- to 20-November-2022 in conjunction with this Saturday’s General Election (GE15). In anticipation of heavy traffic, the highway concessionaire issued a Travel Time Advisory (TTA) to help road users plan ahead.
From 16- to 18-November 2022, PLUS advises those planning to travel to Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak (North), and Johor to enter the highway before 10 am. For those travelling to the rest of the other states, you are advised to enter the highway between 1 pm and 4 pm.
Other than that, the highway concessionaire’s COO Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi added that PLUS will beef up its highway operations by deploying 200 PLUSRonda units to patrol the highways 24 hours daily. They will also deploy 1,500 personnel to station at toll plazas.
At the same time, PLUS will temporarily halt all maintenance, upgrading, and construction works along the highways it operates.
