The LRT Kelana Jaya line has reopened in full following last week’s fiasco, and as compensation Prasarana is giving seven days of free travel for all Kelana Jaya line users; beginning today (Monday, 14-November 2022) to Sunday, 20-November 2022.
This concession will apply to everyone that’s using the line, no matter if they’re using tokens, Touch N’ Go, or the My50 travel pass. Here’s how to apply:
My50 pass holders
For those travelling with this My50 pass, you’ll be given an additional free travel for 7 days when renewning your passes after expiry. All you need to is go to any customer service office at any of the stations, and the officer will validate the additional days.
If your passes expire between 14-Nov to 20-Nov 2022, you can use the pass as usual without a single charge. Just make sure you have a minimum balance of RM 5 in your pass before you use any other RapidKL bus or train service.
Touch ‘N Go card users
As for regular Touch ‘N Go card users, you can use your card as usual without any charge, provided your destinations are any station on the Kelana Jaya line. A minimum balance of RM 5 in your card must be maintained, as usual.
Tokens
Users need to go to any customer service office at the LRT, MRT, Monorail, and BRT stations to get a special one-way travel token. Again, this is provided the start or end destination is any station on the KJ line.
