Toyota and Suzuki have recently registered the Rumion MPV for the Indian market. Compared to the commercial-oriented Innova MPV, the Rumion is aimed at the general family segment and offers a good amount of space for seven people in three rows to attract pragmatic consumers.
The Toyota Rumion and Suzuki Ertiga(Harga Suzuki Ertiga) are twins with a strong bloodline, and under a mutual agreement, Suzuki provides a wide range of vehicles that are popular in emerging markets and helps Toyota expand its market with a label, following the Belta hatchback. After the Belta hatchback, the brand is now registering Rumion in India, ready to capture the MPV market.
The Rumion continues the Ertiga’s acclaimed three-row, seven-passenger seating capacity. Although the exterior is pragmatic, Toyota has added many metal trims and a newly designed chrome water tank cover to add some sophistication to the new vehicle. In terms of dimensions, the Rumion is 4,395×1,735×1,690mm in size, with a length of fewer than 4.4 meters but a good 2,740mm wheelbase for the three-row, seven-passenger plan. The Ertiga 1.5-liter engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, producing 104hp/138Nm of maximum power.
