You’ve been working hard to get your website off the ground and increase its traffic. But then, suddenly, it drops. Your analytics say it’s because of a drop in visitors from search engines like Google, but that doesn’t make sense if you’re making an effort to optimize your keywords and titles for higher search engine rankings. If you’re seeing this happen on more than one page of your site, then there may be a problem with how your site is set up—and that could mean trouble ahead. Here’s what you need to know:
How to Check for Broken Links?

- Check your HTML code. - Use a site like Pingdom or Open Site Explorer to check for broken links within each individual email campaign that you send out weekly—and make sure they all have valid emails attached with proper conversion tracking codes so we can analyze their successes!
Cut Down on Redirects
Redirects are a common cause of website slowdowns and can be problematic for your site’s performance. They’re also a way to use SEO, internal linking and to change the URL of a page.
Redirects work by telling search engines that someone else’s page should be displayed instead of yours when someone searches for something on your site. For example, if you host an article about “dog training” but someone wants to find out how to train dogs using clicker training (a method of positive reinforcement), they might go directly to the “clicker training” page without finding any links from other pages on your website (like articles about dog behavior). This means that they don’t see any information regarding clicking/rewarding/negative reinforcement methods–only what’s available at [article].
Check URL’s Indexing Status
You can check your Google Search Console to see if you have any issues with the URLs. If you do, add them manually or contact us for assistance.
- Check your URLs are indexed in Google Search Console: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/.
- Make sure all of your site’s URLs are listed under “Indexed” and not “Not Indexed”.
If they’re not listed as “Indexed”, then there might be something preventing them from being found by search engines like Google and Bing which could lead up a drop in traffic on your website!
