The 6-speed manual transmission (with three driving modes), steering wheel shift paddles, low centre of gravity, front McPherson/rear multi-link suspension and chassis-reinforced sub-beam mounts increase handling flexibility and achieve a towing capacity of up to 2,000 kg, creating an SUV that combines touring car handling, off-road performance and cabin comfort.
In addition to the 5-star rating in the Euro-NCAP crash test, the new Korando is equipped as standard with the Deep Control intelligent safety assistance system including Level 2 semi-autonomous driving, seven airbags, FVSA Forward Vehicle Activation Alert, SDA Safe Distance Alert, FCW Forward Collision Warning, AEBS Automatic Emergency Braking, HBA Intelligent High Beam, EAF Open Door Collision Warning, RCTA Rear Side Alert, ESP Electronic Stability Control, HSA Hill Start Assist, ARP Active Rollover Prevention and 74% of the vehicle body made of high-strength steel. The 10.25″ digital instrumentation can be used for operation and interpretation of all relevant driving information.
