See a sky full of stars with the upcoming 2023 Toyota Innova

Another day, another teaser photo of the upcoming Toyota Innova.

The Coldplay reference in the headline is for the photo of the enormous panoramic moonroof that Toyota Indonesia posted on its official Facebook page on Nov. 14, 2022.

Aside from sporting the aforementioned window to the sky, the upcoming Innova sports other features that the current model is remembered for, such as the LED mood lighting and the air-conditioning vents in the second row.

The Innova in the photo also features what seems to be a factory-equipped dash cam and an automatic-dimming rear-view mirror.

FWD and hybrid power slated

The all-new Innova (also known as the “Innova Zenix” and “Innova Hycross”) is due for launch in Indonesia sometime this November 2022.

Based on spy shots and other teaser photos, Toyota’s upcoming multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is expected to ditch its pick-up-based underpinnings and rear-wheel-drive configuration for a unibody, front-wheel-drive chassis.

The new setup, which is similar to what was done to the Toyota Avanza, will likely accommodate a new hybrid powerplant.

Our friends at AutoFun Indonesia also reported on October 2022 that the Innova Hycross will have a twin from Suzuki in the Indian market, which will slot above the Ertiga and XL6 MPVs.

Would you buy the all-new Innova with a panoramic moonroof?
