S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl – A shooter that must wait

Let’s talk about the gaming industry and one of the most anticipated games scheduled for release in 2023 – S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Continuation of the legendary game began to develop back in 2010, but there were too many difficulties and the project was closed. Only in 2018, the Ukrainian developers of computer games GSC Game World, together with global corporations continued the work, or should I say, started it anew. The output is planned, without elaboration, for 2023.

Plot and the game world

Open World mode is extremely popular among modern gamers and allows you to move away from the standard routes, which are so accustomed to the gamers of past generations. Naturally, all the action unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world that has survived a nuclear disaster. Accordingly, the opponents will be a variety of mutated creatures and artifact hunters, that is, people who are not devoid of vices and want to get rich. Fortunately the size of the game area, which is almost 64 square kilometers, is enough to easily accommodate all.

The game will feature more than 30 types of firearms, which will be useful, because everything you’ll meet in the game world will want to kill you, so loiter is not worth it. And by the way, for all these weapons there are modifications that can be used during the game.

Graphic capabilities

The game will use life-simulation technology A-Life 2.0, ie game area will not wait for your appearance on it, as it would say, will live as the real world. All game characters will exist without you, warring factions and mutated creatures will be found in a constant struggle for life.

You also can’t get past the crazy technology of the Unreal Engine. There’s no other way to say it – everything will become real. Mimicry of the bots, believable reactions of characters to your actions, the possibility of destroying most of the game objects and much more. Back to the fact that this is a shooter, so when you hit your enemy, you can almost feel the pain. The drawing of the weapons and the physics of the shot are at the highest level. It’s like after shooting at a Soviet shooting range from the curve of the pneumatic – to shoot with electronic weapons in a virtual shooting range, fully immersed in the action. In short, playing for a few hours you can “get lost in the worlds”, forgetting which one of them is real.

The game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is clearly worth it to play. But just never forget that this is just a game and the real world is much more colorful and real. And always remember that you need not only to improve your skills in the game, but also not to forget about yourself. In short, moderation is needed in everything.
