At the sidelines of the 2022 Honda Civic RS e:HEV‘s launch today, President of Honda Malaysia, Sarly Adle Sarkum reiterates that the company is on track to achieve its 80,000 sales target for this year, at the same time managing pending orders.
“We are going to meet that, currently we’re at 66,000 units sold until today, At the end of the year, we’ll meet that [the target],” said Sarly, who also serves as Honda Malaysia’s Chief Operating Officer.
Part of this will come from clearing backlog orders. “There’s still backlog; we are doing our best to address these issues, hopefully we can manage that by March,” explained Sarly.
March 2023 here refers to the end of the sales tax exemption period. Customers need to have their cars registered before 31-March 2023 to enjoy SST-free prices.
