Dildos are the most versatile sex toys. Unlike a vibrator, a Dildo does not move by itself. One of the wonders of dildos is that they come in shapes and sizes that no human can do – so they can (literally) bring a whole new dimension to your sex life.
Annabelle Knight, Lovehoney’s sex and relationship expert, explains how to use a dildo, and how to get the most out of your toy.
Dildo Guide: How to use Dildo.
Even if you are planning to use a dildo with a partner, it is a good idea to check it out for yourself first. You will feel low, and you can really focus on how it feels for you without being distracted by a partner.
1. Make sure you are comfortable.
Before using your dildo for the first time, turn yourself on, however you usually would (whether it’s with moral weird porn, or free erotic fiction). Getting ‘in the mood’ is important because if you’re feeling weird or upset, it just makes it harder to get in – and less pleasant.
2. Use too much fat.
You always need a lubricant to penetrate any type of sex toy, and this is especially true of dildos. Water-based lubricants are good for almost everyone.
Silicone-based lubricants are longer lasting, and are best for entering the anus because the anus does not lubricate as naturally as the vagina. However, if the dildo you are using is made of silicone, a silicone-based lubricant can damage the toy – so you should use a water-based lubricant.
Be sure to apply lubricant to the toy before using it. And, if you are using a dildo to insert an anus, be aware that you may need to fill up with grease at some point.
3. Start slowly.
Before inserting the dildo, see how it feels when you rub it outside your body. Use it to massage and stimulate external genitalia such as vulva, labia or anus. Reaching the entrance, you are basically teasing yourself here. Once you start penetrating yourself with the dildo, slowly move it in and out, react and adapt to how it feels.
Dildo Guide: Choosing the right dildo for you
Dildos only do what you do them, so it’s important to choose the right one. Get something big and it’s not going to work.
If you are not sure what size you want, think about the other things you have used for penetration (fingers, penis, vibrator, etc.) and choose a dildo you know. That’s appropriate.
Anal vs. Vaginal Dildo
Most dildos can be used to enter the vagina, but only a few are safe for anal penetration. Those that are safe for the anus will flare up to prevent them from slipping into the rectum. You should not use the same dildo in the vagina and anus, unless you are using a condom and switching between) or clean the dildo thoroughly between using a sex toy cleaner. have been.
Again, remember not to use silicone labes with silicone toys!
