If you’re on the waiting list for a 2022 Mazda CX-30, your orders will be automatically converted and you’ll be getting the locally-assembled (CKD) versions, and it’s looking like a better value proposition.
Our sources say work to produce the CX-30 in Kulim is underway, and our stories concerning the model winds back all the way to 2021. Taking into account plant preparations and supply issues, the timeline checks out, and it’s said that deliveries will begin by the first quarter of 2023.

Specs are rumoured to be pretty similar to what’s currently sold (CBU Japan), but with new additions, with a sunroof said to be part of the kit. Courtesy of tax benefits for locally-assembled cars, a circa 10- to 20-percent reduction in prices is also be expected.

Also, customers who booked for their cars before 30-June 2022 will enjoy SST-exempted prices, provided their cars are delivered by 31-March 2023.
