Android vs iOS – Which one is better

On social media, there is a constant battle between fanboys about Android being superior to iOS or the iPhone being more powerful than Android. Are Android vs iOS really superior? Maybe. Maybe not. My opinion is no.

On social media, there is a constant debate about which mobile operating system is better: Android or iOS. While some users are able to voice their opinions on social media, others are often overwhelmed by those from the opposing clan. Is Android better than iOS? Maybe. Maybe not. My opinion is no.

You decide what is best for you

As a consumer advocate, my job requires me use Android smartphones. As a consumer technology reporter, I am able to test out multiple smartphones at different price points. While some of these devices cost less than Rs 15,000, others may be more expensive at Rs 50,000.

Nearly every smartphone has something to offer every customer. While some may want the best display, others might need a long-lasting battery. My preference is for a device that offers a reliable user experience and a great camera setup.

A Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus or Ultra would be my choice for my needs. The Vivo X80 Pro and the iQOO 9 Pro are also options. These smartphones provide a great user experience, as well as a superb camera for clicking photos. I am intrigued by the design of the upcoming Nothing Phone (1). Based on leaks, the phone appears to be affordable at Rs 35,000. However, I would choose Android vs iOS for one of these phones.

Here, “preferred” is the keyword. iOS is my preferred platform over Android. It’s simple and intuitive, makes it easy to customize the theme, icons, animations, and other settings. There are many options on the Android side if you want to do this. Samsung’s OneUI skin is reliable and packed with features. OnePlus’ OxygenOS offers a simple software experience with many customization options. Other Android skins like ColorOS and Funtouch OS, MIUI, Realme UI and Realme UI offer many options for customizing your device, but come with a lot more bloatware. You have the option to remove some third-party apps. However, this is an additional step.

An iPhone is my preferred choice over Android, as I use the MacBook Pro 13-inch and Apple Watch. The “Apple Ecosystem” is what makes these devices even more appealing to me. Although the combination of the words ecosystem and Apple might cause some users to be triggered, I wouldn’t care. Continuity is a feature that saves time and increases productivity.

Universal Control is also available, and is the best feature to increase productivity. The mouse cursor can be moved to the edge of the Mac’s screen and then pushed towards the iPad. The same mouse cursor will be found on your iPad’s screen, no matter how magical it may look or read. SideCar is another feature that extends and mirrors the iPad’s Mac screen. Universal Control allows you to share one keyboard with multiple devices simultaneously.

Apple offers industry-leading software support. iPhones that were launched in 2015 received iOS 15 support. iPhone 8 was also included in the list of iPhones receiving the iOS 16 update. If you are looking for new features every year and the best privacy features, this is a solid reason to buy an iPhone.

What is the deal with Android?

Samsung is the most trusted Android smartphone manufacturer when it comes to software support. Vivo (and its subbrand iQOO), has done a fantastic job in rolling out software updates to its smartphones. These smartphone companies offer great value for money hardware, as well as the likes Oppo and Realme. Apple devices are great as standalone devices and work well together, but I disagree.

Android and iOS are not perfect. Android vs iOS too has its flaws. Overall, however, I prefer iOS to Android. You can choose Android over iOS just as I did with iOS. An Android smartphone has the best feature: you can choose which Android skin you would like to use. Sideloading a custom ROM is an option if you don’t want to use the default one. Android smartphones are also more affordable than ever because there are so many options at various price points.
