When it comes to high-speed scooters and sedans, few companies do better than Audi. The German car giant has produced some of the best-performing cars over the decades with the two best models being the Audi RS6 and Audi RS7. And just when we thought they might have reached the pinnacle of the performance sedan game, they launched the new generation of RS6 Avant and Audi RS7 Sportback 2023.
The brand recently unveiled the RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback Performance 2023. And it promises that these are the fastest versions of these cars we’ve seen to date. When we have a 0-62 time in just 3.4 seconds, we can safely say that Audi knows how to up the game. game in the field of scooters and sedans. This is what makes them the fastest versions of their respective models to date.

The most important stats here are about what’s under the hood of these amazing cars. Both machines have the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter TFSI V8, and Audi has ensured there’s a significant boost in power over the base versions of both cars. The car’s engine doesn’t make 630 hp, a 30 hp increase over the upcoming non-performance RS6 and RS7 models. Also keep in mind that these are really hot convertibles, not supercars, which is a lot of power for a car that could easily be an everyday driver.
Audi says a time of 0-60 mph or 0-60 mph if you prefer, which is just 3.4 seconds. That’s a two-tenth improvement over previous models. It may not really be a significant improvement. But the 0-100 km/h time in 3.4 seconds is hardly slow. As for the transmission, both performance models come standard with an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission with faster shifting times than the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It’s a powerful powertrain, and it’ll also get you through the gears and hit a top speed of 174 mph. That’s more than enough for a family car. Audi lost weight with both models.
Naturally, saving as much weight as possible is a big deal with many of today’s performance cars. And that’s exactly what Audi has done here. Audi says that now the insulation between the engine compartment, interior and rear of both vehicles has been reduced. This not only improves the audio experience of both cars, but also means that these cars are actually 8 kg lighter than the others. Lightweight wheels are also available along with standard 22-inch die-cast aluminum wheels to further reduce weight. This new wheel is about 5 kg lighter than the 22-inch aluminum, for a total of 20 kg less weight than the two models with all four wheels. This is something that we are sure to tempt a lot of people.
Continental Sport Contact 7 285/30 tires are also part of this lightweight set of wheels and play an important role in reducing the weight of both vehicles. While saving weight is a big part of what makes both cars so appealing, Audi has also done a lot to ensure that both cars are fully equipped.
Equipped with the best technology
After all, they are all family cars, so they are equipped with many must-haves. Standard equipment includes a Bong & Olufsen Premium sound system with 3D sound. Then there’s the Park Assist package with parking assist plus, a windshield display, a 360-degree camera, and matte gray 22-inch wheels. Visually, the matte gray exterior styling package is now also a standard package. The Audi RS sports exhaust on both cars are gloss black with Audi rings and badges. It reminds us of their sports information.
Both of these cars are downright brilliant. They offer automotive performance packages that are, of course, ultimately designed for more practical everyday use. There’s even a Dynamic RS Package as standard on both new performance models as well as an optional Plus Package that boosts top speed to 189 mph. Audi says both will launch on December 8 this year. Pricing shows that the RS6 Avant Performance starts at $134,899 while the RS7 Sportback Performance starts at $139,276, and both the performance and practicality package.
