2022 Hyundai Staria launched with 2.2L CRDi engine delivering 177 PS / 430 Nm!

The 2022 Hyundai Staria has been officially launched in China, with only one option for our market, a 2.2L diesel turbocharged engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a maximum horsepower of 177 PS and a peak torque of 430 Nm.

The first thing that strikes you is the very edgy front end! The look gives the impression of a sci-fi movie. The front tank guard has been changed from a horizontal bar to a honeycomb style, which is quite imposing. The headlights on both sides have also been moved down. The curved design, which extends from the roof to the large mirrors to the tank guard, is also distinctive from many MPVs.

The wheels are chrome-plated 18″ aluminum diamond-like wheels in brass, which add a touch of luxury and are a perfect match for the front end. The brakes come with a choice of front and rear discs, with the front discs measuring 18″ and the rear discs 17″. The other parts of the car are the mirrors on the side and the Hyundai logo and Staria lettering in the middle of the rear in the same brass color as the wheels, and the tail lights in the same Parametric Pixel design as the headlights. The body is available in Cream White, Abyss Black Pearl, Shimmering Silver Metallic, Graphite Gray Metalic, Olivine Gray Metallic, Gaia Brown Pearl and Moonlight Blue Pearl.

Inside, the panoramic windows add to the overall avant-garde feel. Push-button gearshift, wireless charging, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support), an audio system with 12 Bose, electronic gearshift buttons and 10 colors of interior ambient lighting also make it more dynamic! As for seating, our version is only available with 7 seats. There are four interior options: Gray Two-tone, Blue Two-tone, Brown Two-tone and Black Monotone.

Power is provided by a single 2.2L CRDi diesel-turbo engine with front-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic transmission with 174 Hp/177 PS and 430 Nm of peak torque. Alert+Assist, automatic emergency braking, active cruise control (with Stop & Go), automatic high and low beam adjustment, safe exit assist and driver concentration warning. It is also equipped with 6 airbags and two Isofix child seat mounts for the middle row of individual seats, so it’s even safer when you’re on the road!
